The person fulfilling this position is expected to become knowledgeable about specific issues in medical research (e.g., prostate cancer). In this role, you will stay current on new scientific advances and research relevant to key areas of focus. This "expertise" and scientific background will enable you to support the company's sales efforts. You will assist sales reps in presenting technical information to both academic and community-based physicians. The position will have the additional responsibility of supporting the growth and implementation of new products introduced to the company portfolio.

The Scientific and Clinical Affairs Representative will:

* Motivate through leadership, clinical and scientific expertise, sales representatives to sell products within their existing and new accounts.
* Speak as required at customer support groups, meetings, Grand Rounds, dinner programs, and provide trade show and other meeting support.
* Educational Support: (1) Educate and train physicians and office personnel on matters relating to our products via one-on-one training sessions, in-service education programs, seminars and/or outside symposiums. (2) Assist marketing in educating/training new sales representatives.
* Assist marketing with analyzing emerging competitive products.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

* 3 years+ experience in a scientific affairs or medical liaison position.
* Individuals should have experience working with health care practitioners. Direct experience in customer facing roles such as medical science liaison, health economic coordinator, sales, or similar role is preferred.
* Urology experience is preferred.
* The candidate is required to have an advanced science degree (PhD preferred) or professional medical background (PA).
* Strong technical aptitude must be able to learn and understand complex medically-oriented products.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills - ability to be a solid team player.
* Ability to travel up to 75%.
